The First South Asian Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) registered at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) was launched at COSTI on December 18, 2014 in collaboration with COSTI, WIPO and National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO).

Ms. Geethanjali Ranawaka, (Director General, NIPO) and Mr. Nalinda Atapattu, Assistant Director (Information & Examination) participated in this event representing the National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka.
Through the TISC, innovators in Sri Lanka will gain access to locally based, high quality technology information and related services, helping them to exploit their innovative potential and to create, protect, and manage their intellectual property (IP) rights (Source : http://www.wipo.int/tisc/en/)
